Nate Appleman leads 360 Architecture's collegiate sports market. He has worked with college and university athletic programs across multiple conferences and at every division level, providing expertise in facilities master planning as well as programming and design for stadiums, arenas, training facilities and other venues. Nate helps programs achieve their athletic performance, recruiting and identity objectives through efficient, user-focused venues that reflect an exceptional understanding of the day-to-day needs of coaches, administrators and student-athletes.

Jim Calcara is a founding principal of 360 Architecture. During the course of his distinguished career, Jim has demonstrated passion and expertise in urban design, influencing particularly the pattern of urban development in Kansas City. Jim’s focus has been innovative design coupled with solid business sense, driven by and respectful of clients’ needs and budget concerns. He possesses unique expertise in translating programming, environmental, quality and budgetary criteria into cohesive design solutions, and is recognized for the ability to create a “sense of place” through subtle design elements that are as creative as they are functional.

Bill Johnson, a senior principal of 360 Architecture, approaches design with a pen and paper rather than technology. He is a strong believer in client input and interaction from the beginning of the design process. His experience spans 25 years on projects ranging from stadiums and arenas to corporate headquarters and entertainment districts, and the common thread is Bill’s ability to always find the unexpected design solution and creative opportunity. Recipient of the 40 under Forty award from the Sports Business Journal, he is a nationally recognized leader in his profession.

A founding principal of 360 Architecture and recipient of the first dual-degree in Architecture and Interior Architecture from Kansas State University, Marvin Manlove has focused his career on increasing the importance of interiors as part of architectural solutions. He is recognized for his expertise in workplace planning and design, and his designs have been published in Architectural Record, Interiors and Interiors & Sources. Marvin’s honors include an IBD Gold Award for product design. He also holds several design patents.

Over her two decade-plus career with 360, Chris has been a visionary, leading our practice through major business transitions while making sure our professionals and clients have what they need to succeed. With a passion for civic involvement, Chris has been the Chair of the Planning Commission for Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and served on numerous other boards.
