Nara
In this 6,000 s.f., downtown Kansas City restaurant, rough-hewn steel, brick and wood elements are juxtaposed by accents of color and hip furniture, creating an urban aesthetic with an Asian flavor.

The kitchen reflects Nara’s contemporary take on the centuries-old Japanese robata-style cooking method, where fishermen would grill then share their daily catch on oars passed from boat to boat.

Rhythm and order resonate from Nara’s custom-fabricated black steel totems, bars, railings, harvest table and light fixtures.
